Hello! My name is Jeff, and if you are in need of support and want someone to talk to about your mental health, then I am glad you've found me. I have experience working with clients that live with the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety, or are having issues with self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions.
I am committed to building a safe and effective therapeutic relationship with unconditional positive regard and empathy for all of my clients. I believe that engaging in therapy is often a difficult step and I am honouring that commitment without judgement to provide the support that is needed. I look forward to working with you!
I work as a person-centered therapist and value the importance of your lived experiences and perceptions. The pursuit of growth, understanding, self-awareness, and positive change is a shared goal. In a collaborative journey we gain insights into your behaviour, capitalize on your strengths, and increase your ability to cope and change.
I use a variety of evidence-based techniques, focusing on psychodynamic and cognitive approaches, in a trauma-informed way. The goal is to help my clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviours, understand better your true self, and tap into reserves of strength to move towards change.
Therapy can help you overcome feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and despair. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behavior, and develop strategies to move forward.
Are you and your partner facing challenges in your relationship? Couples counseling can help you navigate through conflicts, improve communication, and rebuild trust. In a safe and supportive environment both partners can express their feelings and work towards mutual understanding and resolution.
I am available for in-person therapy in Strathroy and London, Ontario for clients in the surrounding areas. I also offer virtual therapy for clients anywhere in Ontario.
